Introduction
My name is Debra Glymph, I am the Nurse Remediation/ Retention Specialist
for this grant. I have been happily married for nine years. I enjoy spending
time with my husband and two exciting children. Other hobbies include
gardening, fishing, painting, and sewing.
I am a Registered Nurse. I graduated from Northwestern State University,
College of Nursing in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1997. My clinical
area of interest is cardiac care. I am currently working on my Masters
of Science in Nursing, education track, through The University of
Texas at Tyler. My research interests include the effect of extended
hospital nursing training on increased competency levels and job
satisfaction for new graduate nurses, and nursing retention rates.
If there is a need, I will be able to set up workshops for specific areas
of concern within your entry level curriculum. Please inform me via email
and/or your instructors with these workshop requests. I will be monitoring
the website and email Monday through Friday for the duration of the grant.
